October Gītā: 8.6
yaṁ yaṁ vāpi smaran bhāvaṁ
tyajaty ante kalevaram
Taṁ taṁ evaiti kaunteya
sadā tadbhāvabhāvitaḥ
Whatever is remembered
When we surrender this body
That is where we go
Bhagavad Gītā 8.6
This is a classic verse. It would seem simple to understand. Whatever you’re thinking of when you die is where you’re going. So hopefully one is thinking of Krishna. But does that mean you can get away with anything until the last moment? If there’s one thing that practice has taught me it’s that yoga changes your focus: less outward more inward. That thinking of Krishna or whatever divinity means to you, comes without effort. Yoga not only makes this life easier, but also the next.
