with John Campbell

Sunday 02nd November 2025
11.30am – 1.00pm

At Astanga Yoga London

Just as the physical postures of āsana have the power to energise and heal through alignment of the body and nervous system, the practice of mantra is an opportunity to harmonise body and mind by providing access to the subtle world of prāṇa. This programme is an experiential introduction to the energetic foundation of the Sanskrit language, and a meditative tutorial in the use of Sanskrit mantra on the basis of an exploration of OṀ as explained in the Māṇḍūkya Upaniṣad. Regardless of their background in chanting, visualisation, and the inner science of the subtle body, yoga practitioners – whether novice or advanced – will find much to fascinate and enjoy.

– Working with different bodies such as older people, pregnant people and meeting menopause

– Introducing yoga philosophy directly and indirectly
– Creating safe spaces
– Being supportive and bringing the community together

We’re open to any suggestions – please email us.

We’ll also be open for regular Mysore practice 7.00am – 10.00am on the days of the workshops (usual pricing applies).
