October Gītā: 7.21

yo yo yāṁ yāṁ tanuṁ bhaktaḥ
śraddhayārcitum icchati
tasya tasyācalāṁ śraddhāṁ
tām eva vidadhāmy aham

Whatever celestial form a devotee seeks to worship with faith, I steady the faith of such a devotee in that form.
Bhagavad Gītā 7.21

This quite famous verse from the Gita is all about faith. A very important thing in today’s troubled world. It’s probably famous because there’s a fair bit of word repetition. It starts with Yo yo yām yām tanum bhaktah whoever, whichever… so who or whatever you have faith in, your faith will be made stronger. Or in this specific verse ācalām. Which comes from the word calām meaning wandering and usually refers to how our minds wander at stressful moments, the ā at the beginning of calām makes it the opposite, so a non wandering mind. Faith, in whatever form that takes for you helps you rein in your thoughts when all around you is a storm.
