’With their minds engrossed and their vital energies deeply involved in Me, they are ever contented and delighted by mutually conversing about Me and enlightening each other thereby.
Bhagavad Gītā 10.9

While this sloka speaks to the intoxicating, all-pervading love of the Supreme, what stands out most to me is the sacred role of sangha, the spiritual community. The spiritual journey is not only a personal experience; it deepens and expands when shared. We taste a unique satisfaction in reflecting together, and witnessing one another’s unfolding. There is strength and nourishment potentially available when we lean into community.

In true sangha, there is no competition, hierarchy, or subtle grasping for recognition. The usual patterns of ego soften. What remains is shared intention, humility, and the collective turning towards something greater than ourselves. The space becomes less about the individual and more about presence in togetherness.

In the simple act of coming together to share our lived experiences on the path, there is fulfilment. The practice is not only in the posture – it is in the gathering, the listening, the offering, and the remembering that there is no ‘i' in team.
